Resilience Cafe Invitation

Please, use this form letter we worked on together in class as a starting point for your letter. The more personalized you make your invitation, the better. Here is what we came up with in class (there is a Word doc version of this letter connected to the Februrary calendar day for today):

Dear Resilient Community Member,

During the past few weeks, my partner and I have been working on a project called Resilience Café. The Resilience Café project is a project in which we chose two resilient people (one from history and one from our current community) to find a meaningful connection between their lives. We would like to honor you personally as our current resilient community member. Our class has created a book and a CD to represent the past and present resilience in our community.

We are writing to you because we would like you to attend our Resilience Café Night on February 28th, 2007 at our school, HTMMA from 5:00 – 7:00pm. On the night of Resilience Café, we will be presenting our music/spoken word pieces and our artwork that we have created to honor you and other resilient community members.

Hope to see you there!

Sincerely,
